Requesting a Do-Over

The past several months have been filled with ups and downs, but mostly ups. I have been trying to remain on top of posting on my IG account although I do not post every single day. Most recently I have been trying to add videos to my YouTube channel and that has been a HUGE bust because I have no idea what I am doing with the fancy camera and editing software. And truthfully, editing videos and making them look fancy is not something I enjoy at all. In addition, I have been applying and interviewing for jobs and that comes with its own set of challenges. O, and I failed to mention that being a mom and wife and all the in-between jobs that entail is equally important and taxing. May I have a do-over, please? Can you relate?

This thing called life is rewarding, and it requires skills to navigate it successfully. Sometimes you already possess certain skills without having any formal training. For example, I am pretty good at putting things together. No one officially taught me, I’m just good at it. But then there are other things that I dislike doing and am not good at, like editing videos for platforms. Lol

To combat feeling discouraged, I decided that I would start over. No, that doesn’t mean scrap everything I have built thus far. However, I chose to restart right where I was with the things that have been causing discomfort and frustration. Because I don’t want to be longwinded on this blog post, I have summarized some of the things I have been working on for the past two months. You can read that below if you’re interested. In the meantime, I just wanted to remind you that you can choose, at any point, to continue doing the things that serve you well and cut back on or eliminate the things which are no longer serving you.

Things I am currently doing:

· Abstaining from alcohol

· Committed to 10k steps per day, 6x per week

· Transitioned to pescatarian diet

· Recommitted to daily inspirational and spiritual education

· Learning how to add video content to my podcasts

· Creating different streams of income
